Depop fee & profit calculator
Compare one US sale with a boost and without one. Processing and the boost fee use different bases.
Your sale details
Enter the order, then calculate. The receipt lists each fee, the revenue it used, and the profit after your costs.
Processing includes tax, and the boost fee does not
For a US seller using their own shipping, processing is 3.3% + $0.45 of the item price, buyer shipping, and tax. The 12% boost applies to the item price plus that buyer shipping, and it leaves tax out. Seller revenue also leaves tax out.
The 12% row is marked for new listings from March 23, 2026. The listing date and the sale date are separate. An older listing can still use the current processing row, but this tool will not invent an older boost rate. A Depop shipping label is not calculated, because the fee page takes that postage out of the boost base and this estimate does not guess the payout.

Common questions
Is there a standard 10% US selling fee?
The US row reviewed on October 8, 2026 has no selling fee. Processing is 3.3% + $0.45, and a boost can add 12%. The fee page is https://depophelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/360001791127-Seller-fees-and-charges.
What is the processing fee based on?
The US processing base is the item price, shipping, and tax. The boost base is the item price plus shipping you arranged, without tax.
Does every boosted listing sale pay a boost fee?
Depop charges the fee when a buyer sees the boosted listing and purchases within 28 days. If you are unsure, compare both totals. The help page is https://depophelp.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/10110299060753-Boosted-Listings.
What if I turned boosting off?
A buyer who already saw the boosted listing can still produce a boost fee on a purchase within 28 days. Switching the listing off is not the same answer as No.
Can I use this for a UK or Australian shop?
Automatic coverage is US dollars for a US seller. Other regions need a different schedule, and this tool will not fill in the US rates for them.
Why doesn’t my payout equal profit?
Product cost, postage you pay, packaging, and other costs come out of profit. Enter postage once so a label is not deducted twice.
